**Coming soon: YCYC Hub is working toward a Discord App that can connect approved website activity with designated Discord channels.** This feature is part of the development roadmap and is not being presented as a released service yet.

## What the Discord App is intended to do

The planned integration will help communities keep their Discord members informed when important public activity happens on their YCYC Hub website. A community will be able to designate which Discord channels should receive approved types of updates.

## Examples of planned updates

* New public community announcements.
* Upcoming community events and reminders.
* Approved featured streams, videos, or other public media updates.
* Selected public community activity that a community has chosen to share.
* Important YCYC Hub platform announcements where appropriate.

## Designed around control

The goal is to make automation useful without making it noisy. Planned controls include channel-specific routing, selectable update types, duplicate protection, timing or cooldown safeguards, and the ability for a community to decide what it wants to publish automatically.

## Privacy and safety boundaries

The planned app is intended to work with approved public content only. Private member information, email addresses, contact submissions, private moderation history, account credentials, and other sensitive information will not be treated as public Discord announcement content.

Public content will still need to follow YCYC Hub rules and the community’s own moderation standards. The integration will be developed and tested carefully before general availability.

## When will it be available?

The Discord App is still under development. More details will be shared as the integration reaches testing milestones and the channel controls, permissions, reliability, and privacy behavior are ready for real-world use.
