READ FIRST: Game Development & Beta Testing Rules & Posting Guide

Welcome to YCYC Hub's Game Development & Beta Testing board. This area is for members creating games, sharing development progress, showing playable builds, recruiting testers, finding collaborators, and requesting constructive feedback.

BEFORE YOU POST A GAME OR BETA BUILD
1. Use a reputable download source. Prefer an official developer page, Steam, itch.io, GitHub Releases, or another established platform. Do not use suspicious mirrors, unknown URL shorteners, cracked software, pirated content, or password-protected downloads.
2. Scan the exact file or release package with VirusTotal or another free multi-engine scanning service before sharing it. Include the scan-report link and scan date in your post. A clean result is not a guarantee that software is safe; testers should scan the download themselves.
3. Do not upload private source code, personal information, confidential files, or unreleased material to a public scanning service.
4. Tell testers what they are downloading and running: game name, version, platform, file size, system requirements, known issues, required permissions, launchers or accounts, online connections, and uninstall instructions.
5. Include a file hash when available and update the scan report when the build changes. Never replace a tested file without clearly changing the version and reporting a new scan.

BETA TESTER SAFETY
Testers should download only from the developer's stated source, scan files themselves, avoid running unknown builds on their primary device when possible, and report suspicious behavior to YCYC Hub staff. Never share passwords, private keys, personal data, or payment information in a public topic.

RECRUITMENT AND COLLABORATION
Be clear about roles, expected time, ownership, credit, compensation, privacy, communication channels, and whether the project is volunteer, paid, or commercial. Do not misrepresent a project or promise compensation you cannot provide.
