How do community listings, approvals, and public media work?

Updated 3 weeks ago 10 views

A community can have a public listing status in the YCYC Hub directory. The community control center shows whether a community is approved and visible on public discovery pages. Keep public information accurate and only publish details, links, Discord invites, streams, or videos that the community owner has chosen to make public.

The shared forum can import approved streams and videos from communities that are currently approved and publicly listed. Only content explicitly made public by a community is eligible, and importing again skips items already added. Published YCYC Hub news and announcements can also be brought into the shared News & Updates board after the scheduled FOSSBilling cron runs; drafts are not shown.

If a listing or public-media item is missing, check the community approval and visibility state first, then contact support with the community name and the public URL.
