CHANNELS
Read the channel topic before posting. Use #announcements for official notices, #ycyc-news for platform news, #ycyc-support for help, #showcase-your-community for community-site showcases, and #feature-requests for ideas. Gaming discussion belongs in the gaming-network channels.
THREADS
Use a thread when a question or discussion belongs to an existing message. Threads keep the main channel readable and make it easier for staff and members to follow one topic. Use a clear thread title and close or archive it when the discussion is complete.
PINS
Pinned messages highlight important instructions, rules, links, or reference material. Check pinned messages before asking a frequently answered question. A pin is not necessarily a current announcement, so check the message date and channel topic as well.
SHARING CONTENT
Share links from trusted sources and provide context. Avoid repeated advertising, unsafe downloads, private information, and content that violates Discord or YCYC Hub rules.
